Today was sort of a day off. I was supposed to meet Chris Ross to photograph Regent Honeyeaters today in the Capertee Valley but after yesterday's full day at sea I didn't make it up there as I had planned. Iended up spending a relaxing day editing yesterday's images, doing some laundry, and organizing the back of my new Troopie. I think I know how I want to set it up and will do so this weekend.
Tomorrow morning, I am joining Nevil Lazarus on a trip to Lake Cargelligo, a region about 600 kilometers west of Sydney. We will spend the next four days working that region and visiting Round Hill Nature Reserve. It will be a new habitat for me and holds the potential for lots of new birds, including some otherwise difficult birds to find. Should be a great week.
