Today was a relaxing day with a bit of photography in the morning and evening and a lot of sitting and reading throughout the day. I decided I needed a bit of a break and since it was such a windy day with a fair bit of clouds, today was a nice day to relax. The highlight though was while Iwas sitting and reading I noticed a bit of bird activity nearby and after a few minutes of searching, discovered a baby Yellow-breasted Boatbill that had just left nest. For the next hour or so I watched and photographed as the mother bird fed the young (above) while the young moved from branch to branch. I thought it was interesting that while the male was in the area, Inever saw him feed or come anywhere near the baby. I was very pleased with the images and opportunity amid a day of relaxing.
