Sunrise found me on the road heading to Fogg Dam to see if I could find a White-browed Crake among other things. Unfortunately, Ialso woke up this morning with a a bit of a cold and very little energy so my efforts weren't quite what I had hoped. I managed to hear a bunch of crakes, but they were always calling from the dense reeds and I never found one out on the edges. Oh well, I will keep trying.
Since I wasn't really feeling very well, I changed my plans for the day and simply headed back to camp to relax and try to sleep to see if I could beat this cold before it got too bad. It made for quite a restful day and Imust admit, the day off was quite nice. Depending on how I feel tomorrow and over the weekend, I may take some more time off as a break before the last month and a half of my time in Australia.
