Well, I am sure glad I didn't leave the Observatory yesterday as I was treated to a very coperative Brush Bronzewing this morning as he politely sat on the perch above the bath while several other birds bathed. This allowed me to photograph him on a natural perch rather than the concrete and stone birdbath. I really think they are one of the most spectacular pigeons that Australia has to offer.
I took the rest of the Easter holiday off and sat around the Observatory and enjoyed the company of the caretakers and other guests. Once again, I decided to stay another night but tomorrow, I must get on the road again.
